The Roofing Association of New Zealand (RANZ) has launched a new nationwide consumer awareness campaign encouraging homeowners to ask the right questions before choosing a roofing contractor.
Running throughout July across NZME digital channels, NZ Herald, radio and social media, the Who's On Your Roof? campaign is designed to help homeowners make informed decisions when planning a re-roof.
The campaign centres around a simple question:
Who's on your roof?
For many homeowners, replacing a roof is a significant investment. Understanding who will be carrying out the work, whether a Licensed Building Practitioner will be involved, what products are being installed, and what documentation should be provided can help consumers choose a roofing contractor with confidence.
To support the campaign, RANZ has created a dedicated online consumer hub featuring practical guidance, answers to common questions, downloadable resources, and the RANZ Member Directory.
Resources include:
- The RANZ Re-Roofing Guide
- A Homeowner Checklist
- Practical guidance on choosing a roofing contractor
- Answers to common questions homeowners should ask before work begins
The campaign also highlights the value of choosing a RANZ member. RANZ members have completed an application and assessment process and are committed to professional standards and the Association's Code of Ethics.
While the advertising campaign will run throughout July, the consumer resources developed for the initiative will remain available as a long-term source of guidance for homeowners.
Over the coming weeks, RANZ will also be sharing stories from member companies across New Zealand, showcasing the people, projects and professionalism behind New Zealand's roofing industry.
